Are you looking to get a smooth and shiny finish to your hair? Do you want to get a blowout but don’t have the budget for it? Good news – you don’t need to make a trip to the salon because you can achieve the hair of your dreams right at home. You just need to take out some hot tools and a few pointers from the experts to achieve the look.
You need to start achieving a quality blowout at home in the shower. Make sure that your conditioner is totally washed out from your hair. If you don’t, residues in the hair can ruin the blow drying process. Ideally, you should wash with shampoo again after removing the conditioner and use a nozzle when blow drying to minimise the heat pointing towards your hair.

Absorb excess water on your hair by using a gentle towel so you don’t expose your hair strands to a lot of stress. Then, use a heat protection spray to add instant shine into your hair. If you can find one with aloe vera as an ingredient, that would be an ideal choice as it helps to nourish and maintain scalp health.
Divide hair into smaller sections to allow you to work one section at a time. A round brush is the ideal tool to use in order to minimise tension as you work on your hair. For women with really thick hair, apply a mist onto your hair in order to quicken up the drying process.
Another useful trick for achieving the perfect blowout is to start at the front, contrary to popular belief that you need to start at the back of the head. Make sure the front area is smooth then apply Velcro rollers once that part has completely dried up. The rollers will give more body and volume into your hair when it dries.
From the front, move on to the sides and hold your brush in a vertical manner. Use the brush to twirl your hair away from the face to give it a soft finish. Wrap your hair around your fingers to create loose curls. Clip it in to secure them in place. Then, use a brush in a horizontal manner to finish the rest of the sections at the back. This time around, curl your hair towards the face. Once you are finished working on the sections, drape them over your shoulder in order to let it dry completely and allow them to set.
Spritz some hairspray onto your hair once you are done with all of the sections to preserve the blowout. You can also finish it off with dry shampoo and make sure you apply them onto the scalp. This will allow the oil to be absorbed thoroughly and maintain the shine and body for longer.
