Humidity is a common factor in spring and summer time that carries with it a host of other hair problems. Hair that comes into contact with humid air becomes limp and lifeless, even those with naturally straight hair. When you have straight hair, moisture from the humid air settles on the surface instead of penetrating into the strands. As a result, your hair is weighed down and makes it limp.
To fix this problem, you will need an anti-humidity spray. Create four sections on the top layer of your hair. Then, work at one section at a time and spritz the hair spray from the underside to help lift hair off the roots. Wait for a minute to give your hair time to dry. At this point, you need to backcomb each section for added lift.
In order to prevent hair from becoming limp in the future, avoid using styling products that significantly weigh down your hair. You might be tempted to use a lot of volumising sprays on your hair. However, these products can build up on your roots over time, which can flatten hair as it is exposed and combined with humid air.
It is also important to boost protein in your hair. If your straight hair lacks protein, it is easy for your strands to lose body. With enough protein, it makes it easier to style your hair and maintain hold. Invest in a hair care product (shampoo, conditioner and a deep conditioning mask) that is rich in protein.
