Argan Oil

The Moroccan argan oil is probably the most talked about and sought after ingredient in hair care products. Some of its beneficial properties help to make hair frizz-free, tame flyaways, and providing a nourishing effect on your tresses.

Jojoba Oil

The use of jojoba oil for hair care originates in Mexico and has since been the favorite among women who are looking to create their own DIY hair treatment at home. This oil is derived from a shrub that is native to Mexico’s Mojave Desert. It is believed to be extremely hydrating for the hair such that it is commonly used as an ingredient in shampoos and conditioners because it can add shine and vitality while keeping hair more manageable.

Turmeric

This herb is native to India that is widely used in Ayurveda treatments and other forms of traditional Indian medicine. However, recent studies have shown that turmeric has the ability to rejuvenate the scalp to make your locks fuller or reverse the process of hair loss.

Mayan Hair Wrap

As the name implies, this DIY hair care treatment originates in the Mayan empire wherein they use one half avocado, a tablespoon of olive oil, egg yolk, and one-half banana. Once all of these are thoroughly mixed together, apply them onto hair and use a plastic to wrap it up. Leave the mixture on for an hour for maximum results. Rinse as usual. Camellia Oil

There is a reason why the geishas had been using it for centuries – camellia oil is one of Asia’s biggest hair care and beauty secrets! Camellia oil is produced through a cold-press method using the seeds of camellia plant. Some of the benefits it can offer to the hair include giving it a shiny finish and acts as a leave-in treatment when massaged onto hair before bedtime.

Honey

Honey offers several wonderful benefits but few people are aware it is also a useful ingredient for treating itchiness caused by dandruff. Honey offers nourishing and hydrating properties, both of which are useful for fighting dandruff and its symptoms. Prepare a mixture of honey and warm water then dab a small amount of the mixture at the scalp. Treatment can last for 15 minutes or can be left overnight for best results.
