Big and voluminous hair is the definition of a sexy look. Indeed, no one wants to show up on a party with flat and limp hair but rather something that has more body and personality. If you have naturally thin hair, though, you shouldn’t have to worry because there are styling tricks you can use to get big hair.
You do not have to acquire new styling products and tools because most of the products you’d need are already available in your own hairstyling kit. These include a blow dryer, styling products like a gel or mousse (whichever is available), boar bristle brush, and hairspray.
After getting off the shower, flip your hair over and start blow drying it. Wait until the hair is about 85% dry just so it is still damp enough to make it easy to work with. When blow drying, focus application of heat towards the roots so you can get more lift. The choice on whether or not to apply styling products at this point is up to you, although that would depend based on your hair type and the type of hair you want to end up with.
Another important tip to remember is to blow-dry your hair in an upward direction. This trick is simply learning how to play with the rules of gravity. Your goal here is to give hair lift so you can get big hair after drying the strands.
Another trick that you can try is to use a boar bristle brush. If you have naturally thin or flat hair, or love a voluminous hair, then it is a good investment. You can also lift the brush towards the opposite direction in order to maintain volume. Finish it off with a hairspray so you can hold the style for longer.
