Styling short hair is always a tough challenge even for expert hairstylists. Indeed, the length of the hair limits the options available to you. But it does not mean that you cannot style it for special occasions to achieve the look you want.
Chignon is one hairstyle that is often associated with long hair. But did you know that you can do this for short hair, too? Watch the video for a step by step tutorial:
1. The first step is to take out an elastic headband.
2. Curl the ends of your hair using a curling iron. The ideal size is that of a medium curling iron.
3. Take out a styling gel or mousse and apply it to the ends of your hair.
4. Time to take out the headband again. Place it about 2 inches from your hairline and use a bobby pin to secure the headband in place.
5. Once you’ve placed the headband, take out small sections of your hair and twist them back up. When you reach the end of the twist, tuck the section of hair into the headband and keep it secured by using bobby pins. Do the same for the rest of your hair.
6. Finish the back portion of the hair. Use a hand mirror in order to check if the back is properly balanced.
