When you are tired of having the same old hairstyle for years, trying out a different part is a quick and simple way to revive your look. Indeed, a simple change of part can make a difference in your overall hairstyle.
The zigzag part is one of the easiest parts to follow and is also a great trick for adding volume to your hair. Here are some tips on how to do your own zigzag part:
1. Start by washing your hair. It is easier to deal with hair when wet because it allows you to determine where the natural part falls and to maneuver each strand easily.
2. Take out a wide tooth comb and brush hair backwards. Then, use your fingers to gently push hair forward again.
3. From this, start to locate the base of your natural hair part. Use a rat tail comb and position it to the starting point of your new zigzag part. Follow a criss-cross pattern as you go deeper into the hair to form a zigzag. You can make the part as pronounced as you’d like for it to be.
4. Finish it off by blow drying the section where your new hair part lies. This will allow the hair to set and keep the part for as long as possible. If your hair has the tendency to revert back to its natural part, apply a hair spray before blow drying.
