Want to get a new look without cutting your hair or changing colour? Getting some fringe is the solution you need! But before you get too excited, it is important to note that not everyone can rock a fringe well. You need to know your face shape to determine what kind of fringe would suit your facial shape or else you’d end up looking like you are wearing a wig. You do not want that to happen, right?
Who Can Wear Fringe?
A fringe is suitable for anyone with an oval shape or for anyone that has prominent foreheads. The reason for this is because the addition of a fringe will shorten the length of your face. Thus, opting for a fringe will help to balance the proportion of your facial shape.
It does not mean, however, that anyone but those with oval or oblong faces can rock the fringe. Round faces can also get a fringe (if you like) by opting for longer and straighter fringes that comes with precision cutting techniques.
Meanwhile, those with full hair can opt for thick and long fringes. If you have fine hair, you should naturally go for shorter fringes. When confused, consult with your hairstylist so they can recommend the right fringe cut for your face shape.

Styling Fringe
One of the main appeals of getting a fringe is the seemingly low maintenance look it gives off. In fact, the fringe goes well with a ponytail hairstyle, thus offering a more casual and laidback appeal to your overall look.
But do not be deceived – maintaining a fringe can also entail a lot of work. For everyday styling, you can blow dry your fringe and position the strands using your own fingers. This will give a relaxed vibe to your look so you do not look like you’re overdone. Make sure to shake the strands, too, from side to side so it falls naturally rather than drying in a bundle.
For more precise styling, use a styling mousse and apply it onto your fringes. Use a round brush to pull at the hair while blow drying it. This will render more bounce and volume to your fringe. If you want the style to stay on for several hours, apply a small amount of hairspray to finish off.
