How to Safely Exfoliate Your Skin

Taking good care of your skin is an important measure that every woman should take, especially if you want to preserve the youthful glow of your beauty. Healthy and beautiful skin is the foundation to looking good. Skin exfoliation is one of the most important steps to your skin care routine. Why? Exfoliating is helpful in getting rid of dead skin cells that make your skin look dull and aged. If you do not exfoliate those dead skin cells, they can block your pores and make you prone to developing breakouts, acnes, and other forms of skin imperfections.

Before you are tempted to head to the bathroom and start scrubbing away, there are a few guidelines you need to know. Follow these tips to ensure that you can effectively exfoliate your skin without causing damage:

Use the right tool. You cannot simply use the same brush on for your body scrub to your face. The skin on your face is more sensitive than the rest of your body. Use a specialised type of brush to exfoliate your skin while effectively removing dead skin cells without being too harsh.

The right way to exfoliate. Use a gentle circular motion when exfoliating your skin. Do not aggressively scrub through your skin. Also, do not forget key areas that are often overlooked during the cleansing process, such as your jawline, under the chin and the corners of your nose.

Use an exfoliating mask. You can find several of these exfoliating products in the market to help soften up dead skin cells. Leave them on your skin for as long as directed. This will soften the dead skin cells and make removing them effortless.

Use an exfoliating gel for a nourishing scrub. An exfoliating gel often comes with a concentrated formula to not only get rid of dead skin cells but also to brighten your complexion. These gels harness the power of natural oils such as jojoba or tea tree oil to provide wonderful benefits to your skin.

How do you ensure that your skin stays healthy and beautiful?
