You love your hairstyle and you want to keep it for as long as possible. But can you really commit to a hairstyle that was on trend maybe a decade ago? Isn’t it nice to change things up from time to time? If you’re too scared to deal with change, here are some pointers to help you convince that change is not only a good thing, but it is highly recommended.
Sign #1: Your hair is flat.
Hair that has enough volume is something that all women aspire. But as soon as you are finding it difficult to maintain volume and hair falls flat even after you just blow dried it, then maybe it is time for a change. Get a new haircut to freshen up your hairstyle. When your hair has set itself in a specific hairstyle for a long time, it has the natural tendency to fall flat so it pays to change things up from time to time.
Sign #2: Your hair does not match your skin tone.
What you need to be on the lookout for is if your hair and skin tone are starting to get too close. This is an unflattering look – your skin tone should complement your hair colour, and vice versa. When this happens, you need to revamp your hair colour to make it more flattering. Your safest bet is to inject a deep and warm tone to your hair colour to add another dimension to your look and make your skin glow.
Sign #3: Your hair colour is all mixed together.
If you cannot clearly define the persisting colour of your hair, this is a tell-tale sign that you’ve had too many treatments or colour done with it. When there is too many different tones in your hair, it can age you dramatically. Hence, you need to get a revitalising treatment for your hair in order to make hair color more vibrant and healthy-looking again.
Sign #4: No one compliments your hair anymore.
This is not to say that you should always be pitching compliments nor use it as a motivator when getting a new haircut or colour. However, people compliment you with your hair when they see something good in it. It does not require a total makeover to make your hair more noticeable. Even minor changes can do a lot to enhance the look of your hair and overall aura. As an added incentive, it can also slash several years off your age.
How do you decide when it is time to get a new haircut or switch up your hairstyle?
