• Refrain from wrapping your hair in a towel after you step out of the shower. Most women walk around wrapping their head in a towel but it is actually damaging to your hair because the friction from the twisted towel is pulling at your roots. Take a soft cotton towel and gently rub onto your hair. Make sure to rub it from the roots to the ends of the hair. This will get rid of the water stuck in between each strand and make it easier to manage once you are out of the shower.
• When drying your hair, always work in sections. It is easier to control and also prevents tangles from forming.
• Always dry the hair around the nape of your neck first. This is a general rule to consider when drying hair: work with the underneath layers of your hair. That way, you can save time and also ensures thoroughly dry hair. When hair is not completely dry, it can easily form frizz or collapse.
Blow Drying
• Wait for your hair to be about 60% dry before you start blow drying. This will help lessen the amount of exposure to heat and also use the blow dryer to achieve shape and definition to your hair.
• Spritz a small amount of texturising spray when blow drying to make it easier to style. Focus the blow drying on the roots to achieve more volume. But if you want to get a more polished look, use flat iron on the ends instead.
