Use as a deep conditioner. This is probably the most well known use of coconut oil for the hair. It has a higher absorption rate for the hair as compared to other types of oils, which is why it is recommended as a natural deep conditioning treatment. It is very easy to use – simply rub the coconut oil onto your hair and allow it to coat the strands. Wrap your hair in a shower cap to leave it on overnight.

Use as a natural detangler. Mix one parts of coconut oil with two parts of water. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle and spritz it to your hair when you need to de-tangle on the go.

Use as a frizz tamer. Another way to use coconut oil for your hair on the go is to rub a small amount of coconut oil onto your palm. Then, directly apply it to your hair where frizz is starting to form. This technique also gives you the benefit of having a glossy finish to your hair, especially when you apply it to the ends.

Use to stimulate hair growth. Make it a habit to massage coconut oil onto your hair. This will help stimulate your scalp to produce new hair.

Use to soothe dry hands. If your hands and palms are cracked and dry, you can use coconut oil to soften up your outer skin surface and provide instant relief from dryness. Use it as you would a hand lotion to get the same result.

Use to heal cracked heels. The same properties that work on your cracked and dry hands can also benefit cracked heels. Make it a habit to apply coconut oil like lotion onto your heels to make them smooth.

Use as an exfoliating scrub. Coconut oil is filled with nourishing properties that benefit your skin and can be used as an exfoliating scrub. Combine the oil with a coarse sea salt to enjoy these benefits.

Use it to treat fungal infections and athlete’s foot. For fungal infections on your nails, apply the coconut oil directly to your nails. But if you want to use coconut oil for athlete’s foot treatment, mix it with tea tree or oregano oil.

Use it to clean your face. Ran out of facial cleanser? NO worries – you can use your coconut oil to cleanse your face and it will be doubly beneficial. The moisturising, antibacterial and antifungal properties of coconut oil ensures that your face is not only clean from the outside but that it is also nourished from within. Use it nightly to prevent acne and other similar skin conditions. Gently massage the oil to your face and neck in a circular motion. This will help your skin absorb the nourishing properties of the coconut oil.

Use it to remove makeup. Yes, coconut oil can effectively remove makeup better than any makeup removal formula can! Apply a small amount of coconut oil on a cotton ball and use it to break down makeup formula from your face and make it easier to remove. The best part about using coconut oil is it hydrates your skin in the process, unlike most makeup removal products that cause your skin to become dry. Wash your face when you’re done removing makeup with coconut oil.

Use it as a skin brightening face mask. Brighten up your skin and give it a healthy glow when you combine coconut oil with honey and lemon juice. You will notice your skin become visibly lighter and eliminate age spots.

Use it as a facial scrub. Simply mix coconut oil with oatmeal. Use it as you would any regular facial scrub. It will benefit your skin by providing an effective scrub that soothes and is gentle to your skin.

Use it as a natural makeup highlighter. A touch of highlighter can significantly enhance your makeup look. However, there is no need to go out and buy a new highlighter set because you can achieve this same effect using natural ingredients such as coconut oil. Simply dab a small amount of coconut oil on top of your makeup, specifically in the cheekbone area. This will instantly add a natural glow to your hair and make it look supple.
